For Spring 2024, n-Lingual had a remarkably successful semester with our 28 members including 4 Executive members, 5 Props, and 19 Supporters. This semester, we hosted various engaging events on campus along with our expanded Language Program providing language support in three sections: Korean, English, and Spanish.
Apart from our previous events mentioned in our mid-term report, we also held a Teacher’s day event, celebrating Teacher’s Day in South Korea. On May 9th, we had a booth for students and faculty to come and write letters to their professors to express their gratitude. 64 students came and wrote letters, which were delivered by our Props along with bouquets made by our executive board members.
For Mason Day on May 17th, n-Lingual hosted a booth managed by our Props team and executive members. Students came to try tongue twisters in English, Korean, or Spanish (which are the three language options to our Language Program) with prizes awarded for successful attempts. Over 90 students visited our booth and participated in the fun challenge.
On May 30th, we held our last meeting of the semester with all our Props and Supporters joining. This meeting was to recap our semester and provide feedback to further enhance our programs. At the end, members received their certificates, recognizing their hard work throughout the semester.
Our collaboration with Mason Korea’s official student-run English newspaper, The Voice, will be postponed to next semester due to scheduling conflicts among our team members.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to the current President Yebin Choi for her dedicated service and commitment to enhancing n-Lingual during her time as President. We also bid farewell to several executive board members as we welcome our new executive team. We are excited for upcoming events, and we anticipate your participation and support as we embark on an exciting journey in Fall 2024!
